I was very excited to find this article about darning denim at Self Edge NYC. I didn’t even realise this was something that was possible. I have a pair of A.P.C. New Standards that I’ve worn (over the course of four years) to a really nice, beaten up, faded state, but wear and tear at the crotch has made them too obscene to wear anymore (nobody wants to see you ‘come free at the side’).
Unfortunately it looks like they don’t accept mail-ins, so I’ll have to wait ’till my next trip to NYC to drop them in, but it’s good to know there could still be a future for my favourite pair of jeans.
